Mumbai's Over-reaction

Mumbai Local, known as pride of not just Mumbai but of India. In a Mumbai local not just people travel but a complete society travel at a same time with children, boys, girls, gentlemen, ladies, senior citizens, vendors, handicapped persons, Dabbawalas! 

In Mumbai where if a Local train get late even by a minute, it causes sudden hullabaloo at every station of that particular train route. So, what happened last day (02-01-2015) at Diva station was quiet predictable. Because of some technical wire issue trains stopped its service for about 4 hours. Anyways service was recommenced after some time. But, in this stint of 4 hours what country seen was the overreaction of Mumbaikars. I mean country get the level of fastness of Mumbaikars. The fastness which was uncontrollable for those 4 hours.

What kind of ghai (hurry) this is? When those people was demolishing Automatic Ticket Vending Machines(ATVM), setting on fire the cops PCR vans, injuring innocent people, abusing administration and so on, Why just for a minute they didn't think about the loss of national property, about the loss of something for which they are not going to pay from their own pocket, about the avoidable workload of administration which authorities have to face now after public's so called over-reaction.

As we all know that first train measured its journey from Thane to Mumbai in 1853. Since then Mumbai's Railway journey comes very far. Today Indian railways two busiest zone's headquarters are in Mumbai which are Western and Central Railway. Mumbai local is not considered as a subject of just Mumbai. Its a matter of nationwide glory. Mumbai local considered as an aide of Indian Railways. Perhaps Indian railways don't earn that much amount in a whole year what Local earns just in a week. Perhaps Indian railways has not that much commuters in a whole year what Local numbered just in a day.

Every year in Rail budget their is always a special package for Mumbai's local and why not, its considered as 'Lifeline of cosmopolitan Mumbai'. Its always said, ''agar Mumbai ghoome aur local me nahi baithe to kya Mumbai ghoome''. 

 

Now, this kind of incident i seen as a blot on Local's journey. This incident get national media attention. Complete nation watched it. According to local passengers technical glitches occurred second or third time within a month so, they over-reacted in such away.

Of course this glitch was for third time but it was not done intentionally and it can be happen many times so commuters have to co-operate with administration in spite of demolishing national assets. Railways is already carrying more than its capacity, deploying more and more coaches and mediums which make journey more easier and comfortable. So, if you can't add something don't subtract something.

From now onwards stop standing on the shore of the doors of train, don't lean out your limbs it can hit by current pole, don't spit on the tracks, don't cross the tracks and don't tease or pass comments or whistle to girls when a Local is crossing from another Local's reserved lady coach.

I personally condemn this OVER-REACTION.
